You played a lot of Zelda this year, and two of the same ones as us! I don't know if Jeff will be done with Ocarina by the end of this year, but that's his goal for this weekend.

I'll have my own list up in early January. There's at least one game I might be able to beat before the year's out :)

I really don't have anything against the system we have here in the UK. Games are still widely available to adult gamers, but restricting games with a high age rating gives parents more power over what their children are exposed to since they'd have to purchase the title themselves. This seems to act as more of a screening process than anything, forcing parents to make the purchase as a proxy. The majority of parents seem quite happy to buy their kids whatever game they ask for and I often wonder how much effort goes into examining a games' contents.

A lot of people in the US seemed worried that 18+ videogames would be moved to adult restricted isles and top shelf displays in stores. I can see how having videogames treated like porn titles could generate a really negative general opinion about rated games. They can do without that sort of stigmata, which would not only influence consumers but also developers. I'd expect to see games toned down a lot to avoid that 18+ rating, stifling creative content in favour of broader sales appeal.
